5+ years’ experience in automotive or heavy truck elastomer design, development or manufacturing (prefer heavy or medium duty truck) with exposure to dynamic structural analysis, finite element analysis, fatigue analysis, and product design

BSME/BSCE preferred

Elastomers experience—air springs and rubber bushings NOT seals or gaskets

Experience in dynamic rubber suspension components that utilize rubber to metal bonding applications.  Specifically, suspensions bushings, engine mounts, body and/or cab mounts, torsional vibration limiters, spring eye bushings, inclined plane mounts, stacked mounting systems

Design for fit, form and function a better rubber /elastomer, not looking for someone to do R&D work

Write and update DVP&R documents

Summarize PV tests for PPAP submission

Write technical reports summarizing testing data

Prepare technical presentations on design comparison testing

Write purchase requisitions to procure prototype material

Coordinate supplier delivers of prototype materials for builds

Review Lab schedule and help coordinate testing

Fixture design for test machines

Work with the test lab, must have an understanding of accelerated life tests, performance tests and characterizations testing. Gather data and write a test report and analyze the results.

Field test of water penetration and envelope failures

Writing detailed and concise reports documenting field analysis

Development of drawings and specs

Bidding and review of contractor selection criteria

Provide input on all projects regarding envelope detail of work under construction

Stay updated on Massachusetts Stretch Energy Code and IBC Building code

10+ years related expertise across a wide range of project types

Willing to work in office and interface with shop floor

Continuously improve plant rotating equipment integrity, reliability, cost and economic performance

Responsible for reliability targets/planning/modeling/validation

Provide technical support to production and maintenance departments

Experience with processing equipment, including gearboxes, extruders, mixers, melt pumps and rotary feeders

Lead cross-functional teams

Perform root cause and component failure analysis
